About Releve’

Releve’ LLC was started in 2005 by DeAnne Boegli. A marketing executive by day, and dance teacher by night, DeAnne decided to break boundaries and begin offering dance studio owners exactly what they needed for their studio walls: Interactive Art. This revolution sparks an entire new trend in dance education, allowing teachers to create classes based on her posters, most specifically, Position it Perfect. Plus, parents can fully benefit from reading and becoming aware of studio owner needs by consistently viewing displayed poster messages. (see our teacher tips page for more information)

DeAnne enters the dance retail market with much prior success and experience. In 2002, she started her own studio with 36 students at the local fitness center. Today, she triumphs with more than 140 students and growing! Considered a small studio to most, the BHF Dance Academy has made a big impact to the local community. Their last recital had nearly 1,000 attendees.

“I was able to introduce students at every age level to dance. We had beginners at age 13 who had never put on a ballet shoe… and that creates challenges. We had to teach the basics quickly to maximize their physical abilities and maintain safety,” states DeAnne. “Once we showcased our posters and used them as teaching tools, students truly began understanding, parents began reacting to our needs, and the studio began to flourish.”

And that’s EXACTLY WHY RELEVE’ is the brand of choice for today’s dance studio owner. In a market where dance is increasing by popular demand, RELEVE’ gives dance teachers a way to help NEW students and new parents alike. The posters effectively help teachers run their studio by showcasing descriptive art. RELEVE’ posters offer lasting impact to students and parents giving them knowledge that your studio is fully equipped to handle every student at any level.

Meet DeAnne Boegli, RELEVE’, Owner/Founder:

Boegli launched RELEVE’ with a determination to assist dance and physical education instructors in teaching and marketing their services at new levels. Boegli, who owns and runs Brodhead Health and Fitness Dance Academy in Brodhead, Wisconsin, believes that studio owners should fully utilize in-studio teaching tools to assist them in class. Her product line has successfully filled the void of showing parents what students should wear to class, helping teachers put up important messages during important seasonal times, and most importantly, designing a clean and consistent poster for showcasing the 5 ballet positions important for every single dance studio. Interestingly enough, Boegli also serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Madison Ballet in Madison, Wisconsin.

Releve’ Steps Into Retail In 2007

New Products for Dance Teachers Soon to Be Available at Retail

Feb. 5, 2007 -- RELEVE’ introduces three new products designed specifically for dance teachers or home studios. Three poster sets: Position it Perfect, Are You Ready for Class?, and Studio Essentials are currently available from major distributors and are now being made available to retailers.

  • “Position it Perfect” posters demonstrate the five basic ballet positions visually with line art to point out common tips and offer instructional advice. Great for classrooms and home studios alike.
  • The “Are You Ready for Class?” collection helps students and parents select appropriate attire for class and has a customizable write in area for teachers to specify studio dress codes or favorite stores. Ballet, Tap and Jazz versions available.
  • The “Studio Essentials” set contains nine posters that are designed to communicate with students and parents with essential communications such as Payments Are Now Due and Welcome Visitors.

The Position it Perfect teaching aids remind students of all the minor things that need to be accomplished to hold the major positions correctly. Statements such as: put your weight between your big and next toe, and push down the shoulders, pull up the neck are used to mimic the voice of the teacher. The posters are large and laminated for ultimate durability and visibility.

“Students today learn visually. Posters create an image in the student’s mind, so they may emulate and practice successfully with or without an instructor present,” states DeAnne Boegli, director of RELEVE’. “These posters can be used during class or can be hung in a hall or dressing area to serve as reminders for how the positions should look and what to think about while practicing. One simple idea is for teachers to create position stations in the classroom and rotate students between the stations to practice in the mirror.”

The Are You Ready for Class? posters help teachers with a time old problem --- Proper attire. Three versions of photographic laminated posters feature a student in basic ballet, tap and jazz clothing and shoes. They are designed for waiting rooms and registration days. “Many parents who were not dancers have no concept of a basic leotard,” reminds Boegli. “These posters also have an area for teachers to fill in what is requested specifically for their school.”

Studio Essentials posters replace handwritten or computer printouts that are cluttering up dance school waiting areas and front doors. These highly professional and eye-catching posters communicate the most essential messages for dance studio owners with a sense of style.

RELEVE’ posters are now available for order by major retailers with no wait. For more information visit Releve’s website at www.instructdance.com or email directly at releve@instructdance.com Special offer being given at the Dance Retailer News Expo- Check out your goodie bags!
